| Plymouth Meeting Tamil School |

The Plymouth Meeting Tamil School is an outreach program of TAGDV, a non Profit Organization, that seeks to impart oral and written skills of the Tamil language to the children of the Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley community. The school has been in existence for a number of years and is run by a group of teachers and volunteers. The school convenes at the Montgomery County Community College every other Sunday from 2:30PM to 5:00PM. The school is open from September till June of every year. The children of the Tamil School have consistently demonstrated their talent with great enthusiasm in every functions of the TAGDV. This year is a milestone in the history of the Plymouth Meeting Tamil School as many of our students get ready to take a certificate exam administered by the Tamil Virtual University.
To make learning more fun in class, we utilize multimedia resources (movies, audio and video) as interactive tools. We have added a musical element into the curriculum to aid the learning of tamil literature. The children will go on a field trip this year and partake in activities such as coloring contests, buddy time. Children of the school regularly contribute articles to the quarterly editions of "Sangamam", the magazine of the TAGDV.One of our ambitions is to reach every family of our tamil community. We have set ourselves great goals but for us to succeed, we need your help & support. We are always looking for volunteers to assist in the activities of the school.
